What you type stays in your browser
The checkers, calculators, and notice generators run entirely in your web browser. Names, addresses, rent amounts, and answers you enter in them are not sent to us or stored by us. The only information that leaves your browser is an email address you choose to submit in a signup form (see below).
What our host may collect
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use this only to run and secure the Site.
Links that carry your numbers
When you move from the calculator to the notice form, your rent figures travel in the part of the web address after the "#" sign. Browsers don't send that part to the server, so it stays on your device.
Email signups
If you sign up for cap alerts or the Tracker waitlist, your email address is sent to our email provider, Kit (kit.com), which stores it and sends our emails. We use it only for the emails you signed up for. You'll be asked to confirm your address, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We don't sell or share your address. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Cookies and analytics
The Site doesn't set advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, we'll update this page before doing so.
Fonts
Fonts are served from this site, so no third-party font service receives your IP address.
Do Not Track
We don't track visitors across websites, so we don't respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals.
If you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of corrections. We don't sell or share them.
Your California privacy rights
The only personal information we hold is the email address of anyone who signs up. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete it, or to stop emailing you, by writing to the address below or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
